Markham Community Clean-Up Day - 2014

Members of We Care For You Volunteer Group of Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery Toronto conducted a roadside clean up in Kennedy Road between Elgin Mills Road east and 19th Avenue on October 5, 2014.

We learned many great things about helping others from our great teacher, Supreme Buddha. Before becoming a Buddha, our Bodhisatta (Buddha-to-be) was able to collect immense merits by helping others and providing a service to the society.

Our Supreme Buddha gave the best example about helping others and serving the society.

Over several years, our community service wing has done numerous community service projects, both in Canada and Sri Lanka, with the guidence of our teacher, Ven. Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Loku Swaminwahanse.

We like for all of you to rejoice in all these photos and meritorious projects we have done for the society.
