On November 19th and 20th, the WeCare4U (We Care For You) Team organized a blood drive with the support of the staff at the Hillcrest Mall Blood Drive location. 25 devotees donated blood. There is an urgent need for blood in Canada - especially when the holidays approach. In Canada, 52% of people have family members who need or have needed blood or blood products at some point in their lives. 1 blood donation can save up to 3 lives.
We share merits with Pinwath Loku Swaminwahanse, Sasanasarana Bhante who encouraged the WeCare4U (We Care For You) Committee to organize this meritorious event, and all the monks and nuns all over the world. We share merits with everyone that donated blood, helped us organize the blood drive, the incredibly supportive staff at the Hillcrest Mall Blood Drive Clinic, who not only helped us organize this meritorious event but went to great lengths to ensure that we were safe while donating in a pandemic. We share merits with all those volunteers who were instrumental in organizing the blood drive by offering advice, sending emails and buying snacks for those who donated blood.
