Noble Friends of Toronto and other devotees of Toronto Mahamevnawa Bhavana Monastery contributed generous donations towards the aid of flood relief victims. Nearly 900,000 Sri Lankan Rupees (roughly $9,000 CAD) was raised. Aid went to help buy educational and medical supplies as well as assist pregnant mothers.
